Abstract

This poster session will describe the activities of a three-year effort at the University of Rochester's Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development, sponsored by a PT3 grant, to build technological capacity in teacher education, school administration, and school counseling faculty. The poster will highlight efforts to increase access to high quality professional development around instructional uses of technology, the creation of demonstration sites in local school for use by faculty and student interns, and the development of new courses concentrating on instructional technology in several content areas. The poster also will showcase faciltiy enhancements, apprenticeship opportunities, and a culminating assessment for all student teachers. The poster summarizes the internal and external program evaluation data of the last three years on this PT3 project. Progress as well as challenges are traced over the three years. Recommendations on future steps to be taken after the PT3 grant ends will also be discussed.
