Abstract

iPods are quickly becoming the new instructional tool in higher education. School of Education faculty at North Carolina Central University were challenged to find appropriate ways to integrate iPods in their instruction. These case studies demonstrate that iPods can be used in a variety of settings as both a high tech and a low-tech tool. iPods are successfully being used in face-2-face classes to show videos, study music, and for movement activities. High tech uses include the use of enhanced podcasts with video and embedded web links. Faculty members share their uses in face-to-face and in distance learning classes.
